Opening Friday August 20th 7-11pm.Solo Exhibition of exciting new painter in Houston.Claire Richards "Out of the refuge expresses through paint an extreme transition.It is about the struggle of reconciling movement from the complete and total isolation of a remote and freezing terrain that needs every hand on deck- to that of one which is overwhelmingly uninspired in progressive vision and opressed by heat and concrete and humans who dont know their own powera- because there is no need for so many hands.Each work is an emotional exploration of a location and abstract representation of a place that exists only in the heart and far behind the eyes until the eyes give it life."
